Strawberry Death Spiral Chili Jam

The jam nobody asked for. But here it is. From the twisted mind of Jay the Pepper Alchemist comes a mind bending combination of pleasure and pain. Fresh sweet strawberries, dripping with dew, sunlight reflecting off the blushing skin, are picked at the height of ripeness. (I mean that's what I imagine at least)

We then add the Death Spiral Chili pepper. An angry red, twisted and gnarled pepper that looks like a pepper the devil himself would be scared to eat. Together we end up with a jam that starts off sweet and delicious and then quickly begins to punish whoever is crazy enough to try it. A solid burn develops that sits on the tongue and lasts a few minutes. 

This jam is a study in dichotomy, a tale of sweet and spicy, angels and devils, love and hate. It's pretty good though. You should try it. 

If you're interested the Death Spiral Pepper is in the hybrid of a Naga Bubblegum and a Naga Viper. The Naga Viper is a cross of the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion, Naga Morich, and Ghost Pepper (Bhut Jolokia). The Naga Bubblegum is a cross of the 7 Pot Yellow and the even more wicked Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. So you can tell these guys have been tinkering in the field.
